Ruediger Lentz as a member of the Board of Advisors is basically in the United States of America representing us in Washington, DC with his broad journalistic and political background. He relates to an international network throughout Germany in Europe and the United States. He represents our access to the Washington public affair and lobbying consultants.
Throughout his career he has held significant positions in German Politics and the media. As a Deputy chairman of the national advisory board of foreign and security policy he counseled the FDP during the period of the Schmidt/Genscher coalition, he worked for the German magazine “Der Spiegel” as a military and security affairs correspondent, he was a national commentator at ARD/WDR, Germany’s largest Radio& TV network and became later the editor in chief of the Berlin based RIAS-TV station during and after the reunification process. He served in the nineties as the former bureau chief and senior diplomatic and economic correspondent with Deutsche Welle in Brussels and from 1998 until 2009 in Washington, DC.
His areas of expertise include all media and public diplomacy related topics, Foreign Affairs and defense matters as well as European politics especially in the area of the Euro crisis and regulatory affairs.
Ruediger Lentz is a board member of the German-American Business Council in Washington, he is a partner of the Berlin-based public affairs consulting group Bohnen, Kallmorgen & Partners and a longtime member of the Atlantik-Bruecke in Berlin. He is currently the Executive Director of the German-American Heritage Foundation and Museum in Washington DC. He is a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University, the School of Foreign Service in Washington and a regular guest on CNN and C-Span. Lentz studied international relations and history at the University of Hamburg and has published widely on international relations, history and the military.
